Life at the Scroggins' house
This week has been very bust as usual. I have been busy with work, the end of the month is always busy for me. I have to shop and prepare for the next month. Ella is also extremely good to go to work with me and entertain herself while I work. The office ladies spoil her rotten. The three ladies that work in the church office are so good to the girls. One of the ladies is my best friend Brooke who the girls absolutely love. The other two ladies, Dee and Carolyn have grand kids around my kids age and they love being around the girls. This week I had some wonderful help and we cleaned out the preschool department and took so,e steps to help cut down on germs.
Emery Claire has been learning about apples this week at school. Today they wore pots on their heads like Johnny Appleseed. She is really loving school and learning so much. Thursday is her library day and today she checked out The Very Hungry Caterpillar. I was looking at the pictures on the way home and said to me" mom aren't Eric Carle books so pretty." She is such a big girl.
Ella is doing new things every day and talking up a storm. She is a very funny child. This morning when she woke up i went in to check on her and she had gotten out of the bed and was playing with the kitchen set. I picked her up and she said " get this baby some milk". I thought that was so funny. She is still doing great with the potty training.
Dave made it back from D.C. safe and had a really good trip. He is still loving his job. We are loving having him home in the evenings and on the weekends.
Well, that is what has happened in our world this week.

Go Emery Claire
Emery Claire did an awesome job at her soccer game Saturday. She is getting the hang of it and really starting to come alive. They were running laps around the field before the game started and her bow was coming out ans slowed her down. I thought that was funny because those of you who know me well know that the girls don't leave home without their bows. So, she played her game without her bow.

Glad this week is over
Dave has been in Washington D.C. for the week and will be coming home tonight. The girls and I are very excited that he is coming home. The week has gone well, thanks to my parents and our wonderful friends who have been checking on us. Tuesday and Wednesday Emery Claire had some behavior issues, but we got those worked out real quick. Ella has been her funny little self. This morning Ella and I went to Bridgestreet to run a few errands and had a lot of fun just walking around. As far as the potty training goes, some days are better than others. Today she has stayed dry all day. Emery Claire had gymnastics last night and did very well. There is a room that the parents can sit and watch from and I really like to get to see what she can do. I guess that is all for now. I will post soccer and gymnastic pictures next week.

Remembering 9/11
As I was driving Emery Claire to school this morning I was listening to Rick and Bubba on the radio and they were talking about what they were doing seven years ago today. As I started to think back on where I was and what I was doing I had the same feelings that I had that very day. I was doing my student teaching at Vincent High School which was about 30 minutes from Birmingham. I was teaching a 9th grade special education English class, when another teacher came in and told me what had happened. I even remember exactly what I was wearing. I was 2 weeks away from getting married. I remember feeling so shocked and a little helpless. I felt like I needed to do something, but did not know what it was. All I could do was pray. As I think back on that day I realize pray was the best thing any of us can do. I challenge you today to pray for our nation and our country's leadership.
