Beach Trip

This week we have been at the beach with Dave's mom. Due to Dave starting his new job, he was unable to go with us. We had a really good time and enjoyed spending some time with Gram. We were all ready to get home today and see Dave. Emery Claire loved every part of the trip. Ella loved the pool, but only wanted the beach in small doses. When we got home Ella went out to our pool and was ready to jump in. It was so much easier this year with Ella than last year. I know every trip we take will get easier as she gets older. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Bring On the Duct Tape

I am ready to Duct Tape Ella's diaper on. Today she has decided that she will take her diaper off and use the bathroom on the floor. It has happened 3 times today already. IT is gross! I have stepped in tee-tee more times today than I would like. She thinks it is so funny. The last time she did it she said" show Brooke" Brooke say yay Ella". Ella is proud of the fact she can take her diaper off, but Mommy is not. IF she was not so cute, it would not be as hard to be mad at her.

New pictures of the girls

Here are a few pictures of the girls that we had made last week. We had them made at Bridgestreet in Hunstville. A friend of mine from church has starting taken pictures and she did a great job. Julie has three little girls of her own and works very well with kids.

Update from Doe

We got our first update last night from my dad's team. They are back in port and will start home this morning and arrive about 2:00 am. I talked to my friend Emily whose husband Shane was the team leader for my dad's team. Shane called Emily late last night when they got back to port and she called and left me a message. She said they were all back and in good health. My dad had a rough couple of days though. Some way his malaria medicine and earring aid batteries did not arrive on time. The got him some pills together until his arrived, but for a deaf man no hearing aid batteries is a big deal. Shane said he is doing good and was in good spirits. Thanks for your prayers. We are so ready for our Doe to get home.

Surprise from Gram

Ella is getting ready for the beach. Gram called us Sunday and said she wanted to take the girls and I to the beach week after next. We were super excited. We had not planned a vacation this summer because Dave just started his new job. We will miss Dave while we are gone, but will enjoy the time with his mom. Thanks Gram!!!!
