Scarecrow Trail part 2

Scarecrow Trail

Today we went with Trina and her kids to the Scarecrow Trail at the Botanical Gardens. We had lots of fun. The adorable shirts were made by Trina. The girls looked so cute in their matching shirts. The kids had so much fun just walking around. Ella was worn out by the end of the day. She does not like to ride in a stroller so she walked the whole time. She is getting to be such a big girl.

A Day with our Sweet Cousin

Wednesday the girls and I loaded up and went ot B'ham to see Olivia. We had not seen her in a while and since it was fall break and I had taken most of the week off work we went to visit. Our plan was to take the girls to the zoo, but it rained all day. We went to the preschool music class at their church instead and played on the indoor playground. After we left the church we met my brother for lunch and then Abbey and I took the girls back home to play. We had so much fun. It is so funny to watch the girls when they are together. Olivia laughs for about the first five minutes she is with the girls. they play so well together. We are blessed to have the relationship with them that we do. Stay tune for more pics because Adam, Abbey, and Olivia are coming to town this weekend for our annual trip to Tate Farms pumpkin patch. We do this every year to celebrate Dad and Abbey's birthday.

Worn out

The girls have been a little under the weather this weekend. Ella has felt the worse. She is cutting a tooth on top of her cold. I thought this picture was cute of her, my dad, and her doll Katie. I am glad she is feeling better.

Am I walking on Water or Sinking?

The passage in the bible where Peter walked on water was brought to my attention the other day. I started thinking about that passage and how Peter was able to walk on water until he took his eyes off Jesus, due to the distractions of the wind and the waves. I realized in my on life lately I have been very distracted by the wind and waves in my life. I know several month ago I could say that I was walking on water. My focus was truly on Christ. Over the past couple of weeks I have let the "waves" in my life distract me. Dave and I have been dealing with a situation over the past two weeks, that has become a big wave in my life. I feel like lately the waves of this situation have distracted me in my personal life and my job. Most of all I have let this cause me to take my eyes off of Christ and I am sinking. So, I am praying that I put on blinders so I am not focused on the wind and waves and keep my eyes on Jesus. I know the wind will still be there and some days blow even stronger, but my prayer is that I don't let it consume me. I feel like so many times we just show our kids and don't get below the surface. Today I was prompted to share what is truly on my heart.
